Bonnie Moore

December 14, 1945 — May 13, 2026

Omaha

Bonnie Beth (Sibert) Moore was born on December 14, 1945, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Lloyd Eugene and Mildred P. (Pope) Sibert. She passed away on May 13, 2026, at Rolling Hills Ranch Living Facility in Omaha, surrounded by her children, at the age of 80.

Bonnie began her education at Country School District 70 in Inavale, Nebraska, and later attended Red Cloud Public Schools, graduating in 1964. She attended the University of Nebraska, where she pledged Kappa Delta Sorority, before returning home during her sophomore year. On September 3, 1966, she married James "Jim" Moore in Red Cloud, and together they raised three children on their farm north of Bloomington.

Throughout her life, Bonnie was active in her community and found great joy in music. She was a devoted member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Franklin, where she participated in the Women's Circle and sang in the choir. She shared her gift of music for many years by singing at funerals and performing with the Sweet Adelines. Bonnie was also a proud 50+ year member of Chapter P, P.E.O. in Bloomington, where she held numerous officer positions over the years.

Bonnie and Jim spent 46 years farming together, living out their shared love of the land, community, and country life. In addition to her work on the farm, Bonnie enjoyed crafting and spent several years working at Recollections, a local store. She later served as a learning specialist at the Macon One Room Schoolhouse and at Franklin Public Schools.

Bonnie cherished the outdoors and found peace in quiet moments on the deck with a cup of coffee, listening to the birds, and enjoying the many farm pets that came and went through the years. Above all, she loved talking about her grandchildren and celebrating their accomplishments.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents, Lloyd and Mildred; her brother, Wayne Sibert; brother-in-law, Jack Cline; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Sibert and Helyn Sibert.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Kros (Don) of Crestwood, KY, and Lana Lenz (Phil) of Omaha, NE; her son, Jason Moore (Brittney) of Jenks, OK; and seven grandchildren: Justin Kros, Andrew Kros, Mara Lenz, Mylee Moore, Roman Moore, Harper Moore, and Mathis Moore. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Sibert of Kearney, NE; her sister, Ruth Cline of Franklin, NE; brother-in-law, Tom Moore (Sila) of Bloomington, NE; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Honoring Bonnie's wishes, she will be cremated, and a family graveside memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Franklin, NE. There will be no formal visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to P.E.O. Chapter P or to a charity of your choice.
