Chris Alan Bentzinger was born in Sidney, Nebraska, to Dean LeRoy Bentzinger and Hedy Elfreida Bentzinger (Hess). He graduated from Dominican High and proudly served six years in the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge.
Chris dedicated more than 40 years of service to Mutual of Omaha, where he worked as a Support Services Technician among other roles. Outside of work, he enjoyed Husker football, sporting events, music, and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He cherished the people in his life and the memories made along the way.
Chris was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his six children, Justin, Charlene, John, Amy, Caden, and Kelsey; six siblings, Linda, Diana, Eric, Tina, Sonja, and Kirk; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Hedy Bentzinger, and his beloved wife, Marjorie Bentzinger.
Chris will be remembered for his strength, the love he shared with those around him, and the lasting memories he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Forever our Dad. Forever our Warrior. Forever loved.
