Jean Anne Young

It is with both sadness and joy that we celebrate the life of Jean Anne Young, who left us on June 20, 2026. Born in Russellville, Arkansas, on December 7, 1946, Jean lived a life dedicated to compassion and service, touching the hearts of many who were fortunate enough to know her.

Jean earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from UNO, but her greatest pride and joy was her family, especially her children, grandsons and great-grandchildren. A devoted follower of Christ, Jean lived a life that beautifully reflected the Lord's divine attributes: grace, kindness, and unwavering love for others. She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith, leaving behind a profound legacy of spiritual dedication and selfless service.

She is survived by her children, Rachel Parker (David), Chuck Young, Laura Griger (Ron), five grandsons and four great grandchildren, who will forever carry Jean's legacy of love, strength, and resilience. While her physical presence may be gone, Jean's spirit will continue to inspire those around her.

Jean Anne Young will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the love she shared will forever remain in our hearts. Let us celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. In honor of Jean's vibrant life, services will be held on July 15, 2026 at Water's Edge Church, 19600 Harrison Street, Gretna, Nebraska, 68028.
