Jonna Rae Coleman

Jonna Hendrickson-Coleman, age 63 of Omaha, Nebraska, a woman of profound hope, loyalty, and selflessness, passed away on July 12, 2026, in her home following a courageous and long-fought battle.

Jonna was born on March 31, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska, to her parents, Barbara McGinnis and the late Jack McGinnis. Raised with a natural calling to help those in need, she dedicated her career to social work. She was the hardest worker many ever knew, pouring her heart into supporting children, adults with disabilities, and the less fortunate. Her patience, wisdom, and wit earned her the deep respect and love of countless colleagues.

Beyond her professional legacy, Jonna's ultimate pride and joy were her family. She was married to her husband, Robert Coleman, and loved her five sons and grandchildren unconditionally.

Jonna is survived by her spouse, Robert Coleman; her mother, Barbara McGinnis; her brother, Jimmy McGinnis; her five sons, Jesse Hendrickson, Scott Hendrickson (Katie), Boe Hendrickson (Danielle), Anthony Mejia, and Adam Mejia; several cherished grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of deeply loved extended family members, colleagues, and lifelong friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

The family extends a deeply heartfelt thank you to the friends and colleagues of Jonna who have supported her and offered their condolences.
