After her graduation from Millard South High School in 2000, Lisa attended Colorado State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. She worked as a research scientist throughout her career and had her collaborative works published in numerous scientific and medical journals.
Lisa loved to travel and had visited dozens of cities in the US and abroad to include 19 countries on 3 three continents.
Lisa bravely faced multiple health challenges and received the generous gift of a liver transplant in 2018. She became acutely ill again two weeks before she passed away. She fought a good fight.
Our hearts are broken into a million pieces, but we find comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain and was loved by so many.
She is survived by her mother, Carleen Gerjevic; father, Donald (Tina) Gerjevic; grandmother, Lucile Gerjevic; grandfather, Don Vic and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving family and friends.
