Marilyn was born in Humphrey, Nebraska on August 9, 1936 to John Eckholt and Rose Eckholt (German). Marilyn was the youngest of five children and was a very young girl when her father passed away. Her mother married Clarence Miner in 1947 and they moved to Omaha.
Marilyn attended St. Bernard Grade School and graduated from St. John High School (now Mercy High School) where she served as class president.
She married her husband John Grasso in 1956 and they were married for 55 years until his passing in 2011.
During their marriage they were blessed with four children, 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, brothers Gene and Kenny and sisters Thelma and Luella.
She is survived by her children John Grasso (Linda) of Omaha, Karen Ruff (Wayne) of Bennington, Nancy Ossino (Mike) of Omaha and Dan Grasso (Tracy) of Omaha. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law Rosary McClintock of Michigan, Gracie Cloyed and Betty Grasso of Omaha along with many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
