Michael F. Holzapfel

Michael Francis Holzapfel, 77, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.

Born on June 29, 1948, to Alfred and Grace Holzapfel, Michael was one of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

In 1967, he married Peggy, and together they raised five children: Chris (Randy) Zetocka, Michelle Holzapfel (deceased), Michael (Julie) Holzapfel, Melissa (deceased, Dennis Rine), and Bobby (Jeanne) Holzapfel. He is also survived by his daughter, Heather Misek.

Michael will be remembered for his amazing memory, his quick wit, sense of humor, and the love he carried for his family.

He leaves behind his children, fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering to celebrate Michael's life will take place at King of Kings - Millard Campus, 11615 I Street, Omaha, Nebraska, on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. A short service will be followed by lunch.
