With heavy hearts and warm smiles, we remember a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and veteran whose life was as full as the garage shelves he so carefully stocked.
He lived life the way he tended his yard-with pride, patience, and a belief that things should be done right the first time. His lawn was the kind neighbors slowed down to admire, and if a tree could be planted, you can bet he planted it. If something could be built, fixed, improved, or "just made a little better," his carpentry skills and trusty collection of gadgets were already on the job.
He loved the mountains and long drives, the kind where the scenery changed slowly and the conversation could wander anywhere. Sometimes those drives led to new places, and sometimes they were simply an excuse to enjoy the journey. His hobbies reflected his curious mind and adventurous spirit. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, photography, and a good dose of science and sci-fi, always fascinated by how things worked and what might exist just beyond the horizon. His playlists held a plethora of music, because every good drive-and every good day-deserved the right soundtrack.
He looked forward to his monthly Breakfast Club, where stories were shared, laughter came easily, and the world was solved over coffee and chicken fried steak. He's been known to seek out the much enjoyed Mongolian beef and wash it down with an ice-cold Michelob.
One thing everyone knew about him: if there was a need-or even just a desire-he made sure there was plenty to choose from and that no one would run out anytime soon. Whether it was tools, supplies, snacks, or drinks, he believed in being prepared and in taking care of the people around him. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and a world that is a little greener, better built, and better stocked because he was in it.
And somewhere, we like to imagine, he's enjoying an endless mountain road, music playing, camera nearby, a motorcycle ready to ride, and making sure heaven's workshop is fully supplied. He will be deeply missed, warmly remembered, and often quoted with a smile.
