Virginia ”Jean” Kay Donatelle

Virginia (Jean) Kay Donatelle was born on April 1, 1952 in Almena, WI. She ascended to her eternal home on December 8, 2025 in Omaha Nebraska. 

Jean is survived and missed greatly by her loving husband of fifty-two years, James (Jim) Donatelle; and their three children: Heather Donatelle-Utiger (Rick), Tony Donatelle (Marie), Jenna Allen (Gabe). Forever cherished and remembered by her four grandchildren: Logan Donatelle, Aiden Donatelle, Evie Allen, Westynn Allen and her favorite granddoggy Lucy Donatelle-Utiger the poodle. Also her adoring siblings, Connie Salsbury, Charlotte Davis, Linda Rayment and their families.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Anton (Virgil) Nelson, and brother Vincent (Bucky).

Raised in Almena, WI she graduated from high school and moved to Minneapolis, MN. There she met the love of her life Jim, whom she married on June 2, 1973. She had a soft heart for kids and was a daycare provider for fifteen years, and helped raise her four grandchildren.

Jean loved kids with all her heart, almost as much as she liked Cheetos and Milk Duds. Jean loved Jesus, Jim, her children, her grandchildren, her sisters and Lucy. She enjoyed Bible study, golfing, bowling, and her ladies lunch group. 

Her family will hold a private graveside service with a Celebration of Life which will be planned for spring 2026 for family and friends. She will be interned at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.
